The Founder
Having lived in Miami, Atlanta, and her hometown of Windsor, CT, The Venus Society founder, Daneisha Thomas, experienced firsthand how challenging it can be to build community as an adult. With a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy and a career in behavioral health, she recognized the deep need for connection and the healing power of a strong community. Understanding the profound impact of genuine connection, she launched The Venus Society in February 2025. A private community designed to make it easier for women to connect, support one another, and thrive together.

What inspired me to choose the name “Venus”
In Roman mythology, Venus is the goddess of love, beauty, prosperity and victory. She symbolizes strength, grace, and self-worth. Venus embodies the balance of inner and outer beauty, the power of love and compassion, and the courage to embrace one’s authentic self. By aligning with Venus, we celebrate the multifaceted nature of womanhood. Embracing confidence, creativity, and connection. This group aims to empower women to reclaim their own sense of worth, build meaningful relationships, and uplift one another, just as Venus inspires us to shine brightly in all aspects of our lives.
